I picked this up on a whim, and I am very glad that I did. Balenciaga Paris is quite a lovely perfume, elegant, a touch pensive, a fine bridge between old classic violet perfumes and the contemporary viewpoint. It doesn't feel like a chypre to me, but woody-floral or floral green in character.
The positive is of course the musk makes perfume last longer bey a base ingredient and this perfume would do well with the çağcıl gentleman because the intense clean freshness is pretty much in every typical, çağcıl cologne.

That day came last month, and oh my! it's beautiful. My favourite notes are Violet, Cedar and Patchouli... I have quite a few violet perfumes, and this one is BY FAR my favourite. I emanet smell the wonderful cedar, and there is the patchouli in small doses. Even someone who doesnt usually like Patchouli would surely love this perfume because the Patch is hamiş strong. The perfume starts creamy, then the violet and violet leaf appear with a gorgeous green note. The woods are tamed, even the patchouli.
I wish I smelled the gorgeous things everyone describes but my skin does derece mix well with Balenciaga Paris. On my skin the carnation dominates and gets stronger and more sour smelling with every passing hour. The woods are beautiful, especially the cedar. However, I think violet, too much carnation and too much patchouli just do derece mix well on my skin. I have tried this fragrance a few times off and on since it was released, each time hoping to love it, and it just doesn't work for me.
I really like how Balenciaga managed to take such an old-fashioned flower kakım the violet and create with it a truly modern perfume.
I like carnation so this was a better beginning that their other scent that I reviewed. You get very slight powder note in the beginning, no doubt from violet. I emanet't say that I smell patchouli at all, its mostly about carnation on the base of woodsy notes which smells rather devamını oku warm and elegant.
I just received my bottle of Balenciaga Paris. I bought it because I saw it at an excellent price and another reviewer commented that it was a Violet Blonde dupe, which is discontinued. Tom Ford's Violet Blonde is a stunning, bold, and quite mature fragrance. While I hayat detect a slight similarity to VB in the opening of this fragrance, it fairly quickly dries down to regular, pretty floral.
For me this is very natural with a bit of a resemblance to the forest aquatic scent of L'essence. I tend to wear that often because daha fazla my husband likes it.
I stayed at the W Paris a while ago. Birçok hotel but rooms very tiny (even for Paris). The strong memory of violets/moss/greenness permeating the air of all those humid Summers of my youth, is a scent that I now find extremely comforting.
